Bus transport in the Lake Louise Village is always an exceedingly popular way to travel around and the resort's bus terminal is to be found outside of the Samson Mall. Local buses connect a number of outlying destinations and attractions, with the most popular of these including the townsites of Banff, Canmore and Jasper, and stretches of the Icefields Parkway. Further afield, Greyhound buses travel from Lake Louise to Calgary at regular intervals throughout the day.

Many daily passenger trains travel through Banff and close to Lake Louise, although very importantly, they do not stop at all. However, the journey is particularly scenic and passengers are treated to some truly awesome views. Of note, there are also reliable passenger trains which travel between Vancouver and Banff.
